Enjoy a taste of camp for 3 days and 2 nights. Our time together will be focused on camp basics to get a feel for being away from home. Have a cabin buddy and bring your favourite teddy bear! There’s lots of room to play and learn at camp.
*Scamper #2 will only open if Scamper #1 reaches 35 registrations!
Ready to make the leap into a longer stay at camp? Spend 6 days and 5 nights participating in basic camp activities and exploring new ones including:
Archery
Talent show -- allows our campers to share their skills to a welcoming crowd
An opportunity for friends or siblings of all ages to come to camp together. This camp includes all of our camp favourites, plus archery and a talent show condensed into our time together!
Campers spend 6 days and 5 nights participating in a variety of camp favorite activities while being allowed more flexibility to foster connections and participate in even more activities including:
Canoeing skill development
Night games
While this camp runs concurrently with intermediate camp, this age group is given more freedom and opportunities to develop leadership skills.
We do the time-honoured games, crafts, campfire and God Talk activities that have been a part of Bar Harbour’s tradition, plus more great additions such as:
Tarp club -- a nightly opportunity to gather and simply enjoy each other’s company. Sometimes the Tarps are on the beach, sometimes in the field under the stars.
Overnight camp trip -- if the weather cooperates, the Senior Camp may include a canoe trip over to Boss Hill Campground where we sleep in tents overnight and canoe back in the morning.
This weekend retreat is for those older campers who will be graduating from campers into leadership roles next year and for those who just need one more taste of camp.
A great opportunity to meet with your camp friends again before you are fully immersed in school. We’ll have a mix of favourite activities – games, crafts, songs and time to chill.
*This camp must have a minimum of 15 registrations by August 26th to run.
Bar Harbour Camp accepts a limited number of applications for our LIT program, which provides opportunities for the applicant to develop their counsellor and leadership skills while assisting at Scamper or Junior camps.
Some participants choose to make arrangements with their local high school and enter work experience agreements for high school credits, which Bar Harbour Camp will support.
Participants are required to attend staff training and commit to working at least one camp (excluding Youth Camp).
