Camps

Summer Camps

All our summer camps take place at Bar Harbour, a secluded 100 acre site on the south east shores of Buffalo Lake, next to the summer village of White Sands located in the County of Stettler. We offer youth camping programs for ages 6 through 17. On arrival at camp, campers are placed in a cabin group and stay in a cabin with 5-9 other campers depending on the age group.

Programs
Campers participate in many different activities while at camp, depending on the age group. Waterfront, swimming, canoeing, sports, crafts, games, talent shows, dances, campfire, archery, and outtrips are just some of the things we do at camp.

Friendship

New campers can be sure to make new friends and find positive role models in our staff. We include everyone. Campers who come back for another season often find many familiar faces in both campers and staff. Bar Harbour Camp is proud of our "community" and invites everyone to be a part of it!

Qualified Staff
Campers are always under the direct supervision and care of our qualified staff, many whom return year after year. In addition to our leadership team and camp counsellors, medical staff and certified lifeguards are onsite at all times.

Accreditation

Bar Harbour Camp continually maintains accreditation from both the Alberta Camping Association as well as the United Church Camping standards program.

Facilities
A natural lakeshore setting on the largest lake in Central Alberta, acres of unspoiled land, dry cabins, hot showers, modern washrooms, large campfire area, outdoor chapel, sports field, nature trails, nutritious and balanced meal, Jolly Green Giant (indoor hall), medical facilities, and caring staff are just some of the features you'll find at Bar Harbour Camp.

We accommodate
Have special dietary or medical needs?  Feel free to contact the camp to discuss how we may be able to accommodate your needs.
